Where are they going?
Fewer and fewer people are watching conventional television now. Case in point, at a Rogers Media sponsored event, it was disclosed that in 1986 a typical episode of a top rated show got a 12 share on a regular basis. In 2004 the Friends finale episode achieved that same share - and that was the highest rated show in four years. Viewing is splintering. To reach 80 % share of female audience in 1975 you simply needed to buy three networks. Now you need to purchase over 120.
