Creative Excellence Fridays

Happy Friday! Well looky looky. You've popped over to join us on the first inaugural week of the Ontrack Blog. And just in time for Creative Excellence Fridays.

It's been an exciting week at Ontrack. We have finished prelimary planning on the new Ontrack interactive website. We're hoping to launch in late spring. And of course, the new Ontrack Blog. It's filled with a combination of creative news, marketing and business tidbits. Reaction so far has been great. If you have something you'd care to share it would be our pleasure to add it to the blog.

Now..on to the Friday Creative Excellence award. This week it goes to Coca Cola Madrid. If this one doesn't cause you to blink back a little water around the eyes I don't know what will.

And from the Ontrack cupboard - this is brand new creative. Nice work Dan. I Quit Smoking Canada (patch? we don't need no stinkin' patch!) Oh..and the smoking cigarette set off our smoke alarms.

Marketing Biz news - Trend of the week.

At Least Elvis Can't Get Caught Smoking Pot
Skittish Marketers Turn to Safe Celebrity Endorsers in Lieu of Hot Young Stars
The rise in botched endorsement deals with the likes of Michael Phelps and Chris Brown has marketers rethinking recruiting young, megawatt stars as brand ambassadors, celeb watchers said today at a gathering of top advertisers.

Hulu Now No. 2 Online-Video Site, Behind YouTube
Adding Facebook, MySpace Social-Networking Tools

One year after coming out of private beta, Hulu crossed a significant milestone: By one measure it's now the No. 2 video site in the U.S. behind YouTube, and the biggest purveyor of professional video on the web.
The site hit that mark in February, according to unreleased figures from Nielsen Online's VideoCensus, after a 33% surge in traffic fueled by a Super Bowl ad, Hulu's first attempt to market itself to the general public.

And finally -- "Twitter" We have heard so many Twitter stories in the last week we're all Twittered out. But it's the social networking tool to watch - even with all it's limitations. But seriously.. I'm not sure I want to be followed. Isn't that just stalking???

Have a great weekend and an even better week ahead.

Tim, Dan, Heronymo, Meredith and Jeffy the Intern!
